The short version

Triad runs on your device. Your tasks, streak, and settings never leave it — there is no account, no sign-in, and no server of ours for them to go to. Two things can leave: an anonymous crash report when the App crashes, so we can fix it, and any feedback you choose to send us. We don’t run ads, we don’t use third-party ad trackers, and we have no data of yours to sell.

02

Information we collect

Almost nothing, and never your content. Everything the App records stays on your device: your task titles, categories, and durations; your daily plan and completion history; your streak, focus-session stats, and milestones; the onboarding answers you give (your first name, your gender — used only to choose which illustrations you see — what tends to derail you, and your reminder time) and your notification preference. Three things can leave your device. First, crash diagnostics: if the App crashes, an automatic report goes to Sentry, our error-reporting provider — the error message, the stack trace, and basic device information such as your model, OS version, and App version. It contains no task text, no plan history, and nothing identifying you personally; we have deliberately disabled the breadcrumb trail that would otherwise record what you were doing at the time. Second, feedback: if you use Send feedback in Account, the message you type, and your email address only if you add it, goes to Sentry so we can read it and reply, together with your App version and device model. Nothing is sent unless you tap Send, and none of your tasks or history is attached. Third, if you subscribe, your subscription status (active, trialing, expired) is handled by the App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat under their own privacy policies — we never receive your card number or other payment details.

03

Information we don’t collect

We don’t collect health data, financial account data, contacts, precise location, or advertising identifiers — or, for that matter, your name or email, since there is no account to attach them to — unless you choose to add your email to a feedback message. We never receive your task text at all, including in crash reports.

04

How we use it

Your data is used on your device only: to compute your streak, history, and (for Pro subscribers) trends and insights; to draw the home-screen widgets if you add them; and to schedule local notifications — the optional daily reminder at the time you pick, an alert when a focus session ends, and, if you start a free trial, one reminder two days before it ends. Notifications are scheduled on the device itself; nothing is sent to a server to deliver them. Your subscription status is used to unlock Pro features. Feedback you send is used only to understand what to improve and, if you gave an email, to reply to you.

05

Where your data lives

In a database file on your device, inside the App’s private storage, and nowhere else. It is protected by your device’s own security — its lock screen and app sandboxing — rather than by encryption we add on top, and we don’t claim otherwise. Anything you save with Save a backup leaves that protection the moment you send it somewhere, so store those copies somewhere you trust. Feedback you send is stored by Sentry on our behalf.

06

Who we share it with

Two processors, and nobody else. Sentry receives crash diagnostics so we can fix bugs, and any feedback you choose to send, and — if you subscribe — RevenueCat together with the Apple App Store and Google Play handle billing and subscription status. Each operates under its own privacy policy. No other service provider sees anything, because nothing else leaves your device. When you tap Rate Triad or a music app under focus music, the App simply opens that app or web page; we pass it nothing about you. We don’t sell your data or share it for advertising.

07

How long we keep it

Data on your device stays for exactly as long as you keep it — until you delete the App or use Clear local data inside it. We never see it, so we can’t retain it, and we can’t delete it on your behalf either. Crash reports and feedback held by Sentry are kept only as long as we need them to fix problems and reply, and are deleted automatically under Sentry’s retention period (at most 90 days); email us to have your feedback deleted sooner.

08

Your rights

You already hold them directly. Your data is on your device: Save a backup saves it as a file, Export as spreadsheet (Pro) gives you the full task history as a CSV file, and Clear local data erases it permanently. Rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA apply to data a company holds about you — the only such data we can hold is feedback you sent us, which you can ask us to show you or delete. Contact us with any question about this policy.

09

Children’s privacy

Triad isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children — there is no account to create, and the only thing that can reach us is feedback someone chooses to send. If you believe a child has sent us feedback containing personal information, email us and we’ll delete it.

10

Security

Keeping your data off the internet removes most of the risk, but not all of it: anyone who can unlock your device can open the App, home-screen widgets show today’s task titles to anyone who sees your home screen, and a backup you export is only as safe as where you put it. No method of storage is 100% secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.

11

The iPhone waitlist (our website only)

Triad isn’t on iPhone yet. If you visit our website from an iPhone, you can leave your email address to be told when it launches. That email is stored by MailerLite, our email provider, under its own privacy policy — or, if you email us to ask instead, in our inbox — and used for one thing: to tell you that Triad is available on iPhone. We won’t add you to any other list or share your address with anyone else. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and you can email us to have your address removed at any time. We delete the list once the launch announcement has gone out. This applies to the website only — the App itself still never asks for your email.

12

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App changes. We’ll update the date at the top of this document when we do.
